Born and raised in the small town of Smiths Falls, ON just outside of Ottawa, J.C. Coutts has been in both television and radio broadcasting for nearly 10 years.
J.C. began his career doing hockey play-by-play on community television at the age of 16. By 19 he was working parttime setting up live broadcasts for radio stations in Ottawa and producing various shows.
At 21, J.C. got his first fulltime radio job co-hosting a morning show in Timmins, ON. Since then he's worked in several different cities, including Peterborough,ON Moncton, NB and Wingham, ON.
J.C. has continued to work in both radio and TV and spent three seasons working with the Ontario Hockey League's Peterborough Petes and one season covering the NHL's Ottawa Senators (a dream job).
J.C.'s volunteer work has included working with many local charities such as Easter Seals and the Canadian Cancer Society. He also volunteers his time as a minor hockey coach and was a foster home for the Goderich S.P.C.A.
