ShawnaFor a girl who isn’t BIG on the whole winter thing, my family and friends were shocked at my quick one week decision to move up to the snowy Northwest Territories. But here I am! I was teased often about Yellowknife, with questions like “Do they have Facebook up there?” or “Is internet accessible up there?”, but Yellowknife however is quite the upgrade from my hometown of Marmora, Ontario. Marmora plus surrounding area has a big ol’ population of 4,074! Now that I have left 4074, I am looking forward to all the activities that Yellowknife has to offer. I have just recently finished up college and this is the beginning of my radio career. I hope to cheer up your mornings with my bubbly voice, and interesting life that I’ll share with you openly every day! Here’s just some random questions to get to know me:
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I’d have to say anything to do with travel. Flight attendant would be pretty cool, showing people where the exits are and bumping into people with my food cart!
What sound or noise do you hate?
“It’s not you, it’s me”. “Would you like to try a different credit card”. Gum,or candy wrappers opening in the middle of a play. Seriously, stop doing that one right now.
What sound or noise do you love?
Every time a bell rings, an angel gets it’s wings. I’m secretly one of those sick people that like the cry of a new born baby....its genetics.
What turns you on [creatively, spiritually or emotionally]?
You know when you’re in a group of people and you share a perfect inside moment with someone…that. And…Food. Plus Golden Girls reruns. Who doesn’t love Betty White (sadly some people have a hate on for her). The kind of laughter where it’s hard to breathe and snorting occurs.
