Originally from Oshawa Ontario, Thom is a long time Yellowknifer. Starting out as an optician servicing the remote communities of the NWT and those which would eventually become Nunavut, he switched gears and has spent most of his career in sales and marketing with intermittent stints in print media.
Thom studied broadcasting in the nineties but aside from commercial voice work didn't pursue radio. Mix 100 has afforded him a long sought on air opportunity, and he couldn't be more excited to finally realize this goal.
He understands the special challenges facing both northerners and northern
business and recognises the value local broadcasting offers to such a unique market.
Thom currently sits as a director on several local boards and views his work with Mix 100 as yet another way to remain involved with the community.
